Education

"Let the same mind be in you that was in Christ Jesus ..." Phillipians 2:5 (NRSV)

Growth toward that kind of spirituality is the goal of Christian Education; a goal shared by individuals who see themselves as traveling toward a destination, rather than having already arrived. Here are some educational opportunities offered at South Suburban Christian Church:

Sunday Adult Options

There are growing and changing options for adult education and discipleship every Sunday. These include a vast array of Sunday school classes and electives. Whether attending Bible studies or topical studies, whether the delivery method is lecture or discussion, all such offerings are Bible-based and designed to promote spiritual growth and maturing. Contact the Church Office for more information.

Sunday Children's Options

Nusery, 8 a.m. - 11 a.m.:  Safe, secure, loving care for infants and toddlers with Bible stories and crafts during all worship services.

Hiz Kids Kingdom, 9:30 a.m.--Children's ages 3 years through 4th grade participate in the Workshop Rotation Model by visiting different learning environments each week. Preschoolers rotate to centers within their rooms.

Planet 56, 9:30 a.m.:  An exciting ministry to PRE-TEENS in 5th and 6th grade. Worship, communion, offering, music, Bible Study, games, prayer, and activities are incorporated.

Hiz Kid's Church, 11:00 a.m.:  During Hiz Kid's Worship Hour, children ages 3 years through 6th grade learn how to worship God. It is our goal to teach the children that worship can be a fun way of honoring and glorifying God. We use music, Bible stories and lessons that children like and can use to help them to bring God and Jesus into their lives.
